The Next Medtronic

One of my favorite investments in my 30-year career was a company called Medtronic (NYSE: MDT). In the 1990s, Medtronic was the world's premier medical device company—a true GameChanger in its field.

Back then, the stock was absolutely flying, and we reaped huge rewards. My clients made more than 1,000% on their investment!

You'd take that, wouldn't you?

Here's the exciting news: I just recommended a brand-new GameChanger that has the potential to be the next Medtronic! Yes, the story is repeating itself, and you have a chance to cash in, so let's talk about it.

Medtronic was a GameChanger for several reasons. First, it did a great job of developing revolutionary new life-saving devices. CEO and founder Bill George knew that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which must approve all medical devices, gives preference to brand-new, cutting-edge products. Medtronic never wasted time trying to come up with a device that could compete with an existing product because it would just get stalled in the FDA's pipeline.

Second, and equally important, Medtronic was simply the best at something that not many medical companies have figured out how to do: maintaining a close relationship with the FDA. Bill George understood the importance of this relationship better than any other CEO, and he was careful to stay on the organization's good side.

Both of those GameChanging qualities were behind our huge gains in the stock. Here's what happened... Continue reading »

Put this Doubler on Your Radar

Opportunity of a Lifetime

Several years ago, Nokia (NOK) reinvented itself as a communications company. It set out to discover how people stay in touch, why, and what it was worth. The customers Nokia had in mind aren’t patrolling the Mall of the Americas like my kids, oh no. These customers live in mud huts in Zambia, beach shacks in Kerola, southern India, and tin-roofed hutongs in Beijing. Nokia now OWNS this market. As in: an installed base of 900 million subscribers, globally. Reason enough for Nokia to double. But there’s much more. Read all the details in our current issue.
